Island Destinations Sets Flexible Policies, Value Add Offers

Island Destinations urged partners to adjust policies to accommodate prudent travelers this winter and resorts are offering relaxed policies and value-add offers that address the concerns of travelers in a time of economic uncertainty. The changes are a response to cautiousness of consumers because of economic uncertainty. Maurice Bonham-Carter, president and CEO of Island Destinations, said, “By offering flexible policies and value-add options we are building traveler confidence, driving business and helping travel professionals create enriching experiences and lasting memories for their clients.” Island Destinations’ Travelers Collection 2009 includes 123 premier hotels and resorts along with a Caribbean luxury villa collection, all of which are chosen every year based on a specific set of criteria to ensure excellence in facilities, service and ambiance. The following are a sampling of Travelers Collection 2009 resorts offering revised policies and special offers this winter.

Bulgari Resort Bali -- Bali is offering the following for travel through March 31, 2009 (blackout dates apply). Guests staying five nights or more in an Ocean View Villa may choose one selection from the complimentary options below. Guests staying seven nights or more in an Ocean View Villa may choose two selections from the complimentary options: Bulgari Balinese Lulur spa treatment; exotic full-day excursion; return airport transfer. Other resorts offering special deals include W Retreat & Spa – Maldives; The Landings, St. Lucia, A Rock Resort – St. Lucia; Half Moon – Jamaica; The Somerset on Grace Bay – Turks and Caicos; Casa De Campo – Dominican Republic; Namale Resort & Spa – Savusavu, Fiji; The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua – Maui, Hawaii; and Halekulani – Oahu, Hawaii.
