Island
Destinations Unveils Dubai & Maldives Program
Published on: June 20, 2007
Island
Destinations introduced an 11-day Dubai and the Maldives itinerary.
Identifying a trend in high-end experiences, Island Destinations
added Dubai, one of the fastest-growing destinations in the world,
and the Maldives, the extraordinary retreat in the Indian Ocean, to
its Travelers Collection 2007. The trip is offered year round
starting at $10,500 for summer travel, priced per couple double
occupancy (land only), including suites and beach villas, private
transfers via Cadillac Escalade, sea plane and yacht, some meals and
all tax and service charges.
The Dubai portion
of the trip includes private Cadillac Escalade transfer from Dubai
International Airport; two nights in a duplex deluxe suite at the
Burj Al Arab; Cadillac Escalade transfer to Jumeirah Bab Al Shams
Desert Resort & Spa, a unique hotel built like a traditional Arabian
fort with sand dunes providing the dramatic backdrop; two nights in
a deluxe balcony room overlooking the Arabian Desert; and dinner at
Al Hadheerah, the region's first authentic open-air Arabic desert
restaurant, featuring entertainment by belly dancers, henna painters
and live music. The Maldives portion of the trip includes Cadillac
Escalade transfer to Dubai International Airport for flight to Malé
International Airport; 30-minute sea plane ride to the Kanuhura
Hotel for a "sleep under the stars" experience on a private island
hideaway; three-night beach villa accommodations at the Kanuhura;
private launch transfer to Reethi Rah, a new all-villa resort; three
nights in an over-water villa; and private yacht transfer to Malé
International Airport to begin the journey home.
Emirates Airlines
offers two daily flights (day and evening) from John F. Kennedy
International Airport to Dubai International Airport and regular
flights between Dubai and Malé International Airport in the
Maldives. Island Destinations can arrange air in any class of
service from additional gateways across the U.S.
Now through Dec.
15, Island Destinations is giving agents increased commission on all
new bookings for travel through this date. Upon request, agents will
earn 16 percent on Tahiti, 15 percent on Hawaii, and an additional 1
percent commission on all other destinations. Island Destinations
recently announced a new Referral Rewards Program, offering $100
cash bonuses. Any new agent booking for the first time will receive
$100 cash as a thank you for choosing to book with Island
Destinations. As an added perk, the referring agent who made the
introduction to Island Destinations will receive a $100 bonus as
well. The limited time offer, valid now through Aug. 31 has no
restrictions on the amount of rewards an existing Island
Destinations agent can redeem; more referrals equal more cash. For
