Travel Agent was on hand Thursday
night when Island Destinations unveiled its 2007 Travelers
Collection at an invitation-only event to 170 travel agents at
the St. Regis New York. New offerings for this year in the
100-page brochure were hotels in Dubai and the Maldives, which
were added due to growing demand from travel agents.
A sampling of new hotels showcased in the collection includes
Dhoni Mighlli, Maldives; One&Only Reethi Rah, Maldives; Burj Al
Arab, Dubai; Emirates Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa, Dubai; St.
Regis Resort, Bora Bora; Musha Cay, Bahamas; Esperanza, Los
Cabos, Mexico; The Cove Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas.
Additionally, Maurice Bohnam-Carter, president & CEO of Island
Destinations, revealed the winners of the company's annual
"Travel Agent Choice Awards." Agents selling Island Destinations
this year selected Grace Bay Club in the Turks and Caicos as the
resort of Resort of the Year and Eden Rock on St. Barts as
"Island Destinations President's Award for the Most Exciting New
